A Quick Guide

“A quick guide to new routines” is the practical part of my diploma at the UAS Salzburg which deals with the topic of Creativity and Creativitymethods.
If you are intersted in the theoretical part of my diploma just drop me a line and I will send you a pdf (in german).

● Here’s an abstract of my diploma:
Based on the question, “Is it possible to consciously develop creative ideas?” this diploma begins by discussing the term creativity, which remains difficult to grasp although it seems universal. The derivation of this term in a historical and social context offers the basis for an attempt at a definition while disclosing problems like the economic exploitation and the dependency of creativity on cultural values. In order to examine these problems it is necessary to take a closer look at how creative people work and on what their personalities are based on. This becomes clearer after examining the results of the investigations of Howard Gardner and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. The confrontation of this economic development and the plainly described creative personality bring forth a dilemma: this forced release of creativity faces its domestication. Now it’s plain to see why there is a need for, and of course a huge amount of, variety in creativity methods which will be analysed in the final section of this diploma.

The problem that the large number of complex and detailed techniques make it even harder to work with creativity methods, provides the basis for my practical work. Apart from strict, rigid guidelines a playful and reduced approach to this topic has been created. In opposition to the usual theoretical guidances a practically applied instruction is offered, which allows for personal examination of this topic.
